Zoo : Endroit insolite où des espèces cohabitent de façon totalement improbable en captivité. Sous le même climat, exilée, soumise aux mêmes contraintes, la girafe vivra peut-être à moins de 10m de l’Ours polaire en mariage géographique impossible.

Le Zoo est aussi l’Endroit où l’homme est sensé avoir une vision dite « réelle » d’animaux qu’il ne peut pas voir sans s’exiler lui même. Il semble s’y rendre pour connaître les comportements des autres bêtes « sauvages » et plus souvent pour des rendez-vous galants.

Notre Zoo à nous s’exhibe volontairement et consciemment, voire librement. C’est un zoo actif, ses « occupants » racontent eux mêmes les histoires. Ils sont certes soumis aux mêmes contraintes (lieux, acoustique, ambiance de la salle, jugement du regard et de l’oreille), mais les cris des autres occupants ont un sens et s’inscrivent dans une cohérence musicale.

Notre Zoo est aussi l’Endroit où le public peut avoir une vision instantanée, ponctuelle de ses « occupants » qu’il ne peut avoir sans y prendre place lui-même, mais cela est une autre histoire. Il peut accessoirement y organiser des rendez-vous galants.

Zoo: a peculiar place in which species live together in captivity in a very unlikely manner. In the same climate, far from home, undergoing the same constraints, the giraffe will live perhaps less than ten yards away from the polar bear in a geographically impossible marriage.

The Zoo is also a place where humans are supposed to have so-called “real” sightings of animals they couldn’t see without going themselves into exile. They seem to go there in order to know the behaviour of other “wild” beasts and more often than not for amorous meetings.

Our own Zoo is exhibited voluntarily and consciously, almost freely. It is an active zoo, its “dwellers” tell the stories themselves. Admittedly they are subjected to the same constraints (places, acoustic, venue atmosphere, eye and ear judgement), but the noises of the other dwellers are meaningful and have musical coherence.

Our Zoo is also a place where the audience can have an instant ponctual sighting of its “dwellers”, although they cannot have it without joining it themselves, but this is another story. If need be, they can also set up amorous meetings there.
